Bachy Soletanche Singapore and Penta Ocean JV have successfully completed the first pipe jacking drive for the NSC southbound tunnel pipe roof! The drive covered a length of 35m, powered by a 1200mm retractable square micro tunnel boring machine. With the expertise and support of our sister company BESSAC, we managed to realise this first achievement of our solution to cross the live MRT alignment without any disruption. What’s impressive is that the operation was passing the live North-South Line MRT Tunnels as close as 1m.
Looking forward, we are getting ready for another 28 drives to complete the pipe roof and move forward with the box jacking works.
