REX 2026 Sharing Session to Strengthen Engineering Excellence

In May 2026, Bachy Soletanche Singapore (BSS) held its Return of Experience (REX) sharing session, bringing together engineering teams to share insights, lessons learned and best practices from ongoing projects.

At BSS, we live by a simple principle: we build knowledge before building underground. Through REX sessions, we strengthen collaboration and improve project delivery by learning from real project experiences.

By looking back at what we have done, what’s still in progress, we are able to continuously improve how we execute and deliver complex underground engineering projects more safely and efficiently.

Project Highlights

This session featured presentations from the Main-con Projects teams, focusing on two key projects.

CR116 — Bored Tunnelling Operation

Presented by Bennett Chang

The CR116 team walked through the planning and execution journey of their bored tunnelling works, from operational hurdles to the key takeaways that will shape smarter, safer tunnelling on future projects.

N105 — Pipe Roofing Works

Presented by Joel Salazar & Mike Samuel

The N105 team shared hands-on insights from their pipe roofing operations, covering the technical considerations and on-site execution methods that made the difference, knowledge that will directly benefit upcoming underground construction projects.

Building Stronger Engineering Capability

Both CR116 and N105 are important milestones for BSS and further strengthen its capability in delivering complex underground engineering solutions. The lessons shared during the session will support continuous improvement and help drive execution excellence across future projects.

We continue to promote a strong culture of learning and collaboration through its REX programme, turning project experience into practical knowledge.

A big thank you to all our speakers and participants for once again showing what a true learning culture looks like in action.
