Project Description

Contract T212 involves the construction of an underground station, 1 TBM launching shaft, twin bored tunnels, demolition of buildings & structures, and associated utility and traffic diversions. 

The Station is constructed largely underneath Upper Thomson Road bounded on both sides by low rise residential buildings and shop houses. Top-down cut and cover method using diaphragm wall is adopted for the station construction which required staged traffic diversions. In additional, sections of utilities are needed to be supported across the construction site cutting through the diaphragm walls on both ends of the station.
